NETWORK MARKETING START UP
Thanks for stopping by Angel. Not sure what you meant by your comment, but I certainly wish you all the best with your project, please feel free to take advantage of the free training offer here on the blog, it’s very relevant for network marketing entrepreneurs.
Between May 11 and May 12, my impressions, clicks and conversions suddenly just dropped by 80%.
I cannot see any reason why, no increase in click costs, no change in ad positions etc. I touched only 2 of many campaigns in the account in the previous days. With one campaign I updated ads in all adgroups with a more targetted landing page, and in the other I cut its budget by 80% (But these two campaigns were small contributers in terms of conversions – so shouldn’t have made such a big impact!)
Arg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry to hear you hit a wall Andries. I’ve had it happen to me too, and it’s not always possible to find out why. A few things it could be:
Have you got a new competitor? I find my traffic spurts and stalls through the month as the competition burns it’s budget and then lies fallow for a period.
Have you manually checked your ad position (ie done the search on Google to see where you ad shows up)? I’ve found sometimes that the position Google is showing in the Adwords control panel is NOT the position I am actually getting. Bear in mind it’s an average, so try narrowing the date range to the past couple of days only and see if that makes a difference to the position figures. If it does, you’ve probably been slapped.
Bear in mind that every time you initiate or edit a campaign, ad or ad group you go back to review. It can take a couple of days for this to get done, and maybe your ads are on ‘standby’ pending review. It’s also a possibility that in performing a review your domain has got listed for further review and they’ve put ALL ads going to that domain on hold pending. That could possibly explain the big drop from changes to such a small campaign.
You should know more in a couple of days. If no improvement, follow the tips in the video. I sure hope you get your money machine rolling again, and wish you the very best of luck.
this is really informative, thank’s Ruby! I love seeing you talk, it’s so much better than typing! xx
